Cut two wooden boards - ours are 180 cm long and about 25 cm broad - you can take old boards! Cut one wooden board to put it between the two side boards – ours is 160x20 cm take some screws to fix it (photo!) |

Organize two 12 Volt motors – take used ones to save money but they have to be the same! You can find them in old cars e.g. window motors or blower motors |

Drill four holes at the end of each side – the positions of the holes should all be the same!! Two holes opposite of each other should be as big as the motors (step 4) – the other two as big as the ball bearings (step 5)

Organize two aluminum or metal poles at the junkyard - about 20 cm long and with a diameter of about 3-4 cm – you can also use wooden poles - watch out they have to be the same size and the must be straight – you can also use wooden poles |

Drill two holes at each end of one pole, so that they fit together with the ends of the motors – we fixed them with two screws – this is your conveyer band engine!! |

Cut two small and short poles to connect the ball bearings with the second 20cm pole |

Energize the two motors to try if the pole rotates Attention: You have to change + and – on one side so that the motors rotate in the same direction We found a used 12 Volt power supply on the internet for 20 € but you could also get an old 12 Volt car battery which you have to charge from time to time |

Organize a long rubber mat and cut it with a scissors so that it fits between the two wooden side boards – ours is 360 cm long – we used an old tableware mat which we put around the two poles and then we sewed the two ends together with a thin rope |
